Dr. Smith
Robert A. Smith, O.D. graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1977 and soon afterwards opened his practice in Mansfield.
Dr. Smith is licensed by the State of Texas of practice Therapeutic Optometry, and, as such, is qualified to treat many eye infections and injuries, including the removal of foreign bodies from the eye.
He is also licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, which means that he is qualified to evaluate and medically treat glaucoma.
With over thirty years of experience, Dr. Smith is highly qualified and competent to care for the eye health of you and your family.
Ann Smith
Dr. Smith’s wife, Ann, manages the office. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982, and she completed law school at the University of Texas in Austin in 1985.
Ann practiced law for a few years while their daughters, Leah and Rachel, were young, but now is very happy to be working with her husband in his office.
Our patients benefit from the close, family-centered dynamic of this practice. There is a level of trust and cooperation in the office, and a feeling of being truly welcome when you come in, that is hard to find in other places.
